DecideAct signs contract with Animal Protection Denmark
Animal Protection Denmark (Dyrenes Beskyttelse) has chosen DecideAct to provide a digital platform and expertise to support the execution of their 2030 strategy. As Denmark's leading animal protection organization, Animal Protection Denmark helps animals in need, stops animal abuse, and fights for a respectful and sustainable relationship between animals, humans, and nature.
Animal Protection Denmark is a voluntary organization that is mainly funded by private donations. The association has just under 70,000 members, 250 employees, and a large network of volunteers throughout Denmark.
The association helps injured and distressed animals, monitors compliance with animal legislation, and works politically to ensure that legislation in Denmark and the EU is designed in the best interests of animals. Animal Protection Denmark also guides consumers to more animal-friendly purchases and works with producers and retailers to promote better animal welfare. In addition, the association carries out extensive information and knowledge-sharing work to empower people to give animals the best possible life. The history of the association dates to 1875.
Deputy Director Nicolai Fischer Bogason from Animal Protection Denmark sees promising perspectives in using DecideAct's digital management tool for their 2030 strategy. He believes it can help management to work more systematically with the follow-up and progress of their strategic focus areas and strengthen the dialog between the executive board and management on strategic priorities. The ability to prioritize is a challenge for many NGOs, says Fischer-Bogason.
"We obviously have a strong focus on ensuring good animal welfare, but we want to take it to the next level in terms of strengthening our priorities and becoming sharper at measuring our various initiatives in relation to how they support the improvement of animal welfare so that we can make an even bigger difference for the animals. DecideAct has been very accommodating and made an effort to understand our business, and I hope and believe that with DecideAct we can find a level of reporting that creates value for the management team and the board, supports the daily dialogue, and ultimately helps us develop the organization in relation to the spirit of the times," says Nicolai Fischer Bogason.
Flemming Videriksen, CEO and co-founder of DecideAct says: "We are very proud that Animal Protection Denmark has chosen DecideAct to help develop strategy and change management in the coming years. It is a great vote of confidence from a well-run and highly professional organization with high ethical standards. We will do our utmost to live up to this trust and we feel well equipped for the task."
